
Vevey, Switzerland (September 8, 2008) – SIMtone Corporation, a privately held company delivering the next cloud computing paradigm, today announced the appointment of an industry veteran, Dr. Francesco De Leo Ph.D, to its European Advisory Board. Dr De Leo will provide strategic guidance to help SIMtone deliver its end-to-end cloud computing platform to leading network and telecommunications operators throughout Europe.
Dr. De Leo is currently Vice-Chairman of Tellas Athens – the second largest fixed line operator in Greece. He is also the CEO Advisor for Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A, the third largest mobile carrier and second largest fixed line telecommunications provider in Italy. Prior to joining WIND, he held numerous leadership roles with Telecom Italia.
Dr. De Leo is a member of the C4 International Advisory Board of Cap Gemini. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Media Tenor which collaborates in the field of media analysis with the World Economic Forum. In 1999, he was elected as one of the Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum. Dr. De Leo received a BA in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, and a Ph.D. in Strategy and Organization from UCLA, the Anderson School of Management.
